…[W]e mutually pledge each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
235 years ago, those were the final words to the Declaration of Independence. Like any great journey those final words were just the beginning to the creation of a great Republic. Happy Fourth of July. Let’s not forget the courage of our Founding Fathers as they stood tall against the tyranny of King George III. Play ball!

The Power of Math rules Again!
Once again Professor Bruce Bukiet from the New Jersey Institute of Technology has proven that the power of math is a rock star. Bukiet is in the lead for our 2011 MLB predictions contest with a score of 7.5 out of 8. If the season were to end on July 1, the following 8 teams would make the playoffs.
American League
New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers & Texas Rangers
National League
Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals (tied with Milwaukee Brewers) & San Francisco Giants
Bukiet would have received a perfect score had the Milwaukee Brewers failed to be tied for first place in the NL Central. Currently second in our contest is best selling author, Jonathan Eig with a score of 5.5. Eig so far has correctly predicted that the Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies, Braves, Brewers and Giants will make the playoffs.
