The San Diego Chicken has Never Played Fenway

It’s Red Sox week with our PhD Committee preparing for our Boston Red Sox podcast which will be released on Friday, July 1st.  Ed Kasputis will be interviewing Dave Brown from BigLeagueStew.com and Matt Kory from overthemonster.com as we learn more about those Red Sox and their beautiful legacy park.

Did you know that The Famous San Diego Chicken has never played Fenway?  It’s hard to believe but true. We learned this fact during our special edition podcast, Episode 51.  Fenway is the only major league ball park that has eluded baseball’s greatest mascot.  When will this injustice be corrected?

This week was scheduled to be Blue Jays week but with the release of our first special podcast edition yesterday about The Famous San Diego Chicken (who was born in London, Ontario) we’ve upgraded to Canada week.  If you are an American (88.3% of our listeners are), think of the above video from Edmonton the next time you sing our national anthem.  If you are a Canadian, feel proud of the example that you are setting for the rest of the world as they witness your love for Canada.

Our podcast featuring the Toronto Blue Jays will be released on Friday, April 15th.  In this podcast you’ll hear the enthusiasm of Justine Palinska from Tourism Toronto as she helps us explore Canada’s largest city and a touching story from Dave Matejczyk as he attended Game 3 of the 1992 World Series at the Skydome.
