Ed and Farley are in Phoenix enjoying the Valley of the Sun.  Ed interviews Rodney Johnson, the official scorer of the Diamondbacks about what happened this year with the DBacks while Farley just wants to sit in the hot tub at Chase Field.   Our podcast concludes as we head to our last city of the regular season – Anaheim.

Arizona Diamondbacks

We are in the Valley of the Sun, admiring one of the greatest ballparks ever built, Chase Field.  Ed, Farley and Mark explore the Phoenix area while applying lots of sun screen.  Ed then interviews Rodney Johnson, official scorer for the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Ed then gets us pointed toward Omaha as he interviews super fan, Larry Roth about the upcoming College World Series.  Our PhD committee closes out the podcast by heading east and traveling back to the future.  Next stop, St. Louis – the Gateway to the West.

D-backs Music Video

Baseball in the desert with air conditioning.  What could be better, maybe a pool and some Panda Express?  Chase Field was built in 1998.  The Diamondbacks have never had another home field.  It has natural grass and was the first retractable dome built in the United States.
