Cleveland Indians Snow Days

Can a Major League Baseball team monetize its ballpark during the winter with the creation of a winter wonderland in its ballpark?  The Cleveland Indians are trying this novel experiment at Progressive Field starting November 26th through January 2nd.  The Indians even have a webcam for this event.

Our next podcast featuring baseball sportscaster, Ernie Harwell will be released on Friday, December 10th.  Ed, Farley & the Wise Guys will be reporting from Progressive Field about their thoughts on the Cleveland Indians Snow Days during this podcast.

Our PhD Committee is in their home town of Cleveland!!!  Ed, Farley and Mark share their enthusiasm for the Rock and Roll Capitol of the World.  Then comes the big moment, the Baseball PhD Ceremony for Ed Kasputis.  Ed has been to all 30 current Major League ballparks.  Ed shares the wisdom that he acquired as he traveled throughout the Major Leagues.  The PhD Committee then reviews the Indians‘ plan to turn Progressive Field into a Winter Wonderland starting November 26th.  The podcast concludes with Ed, Farley and Mark packing their bags and heading to their last Major League City for the regular season. Pittsburgh here we come!!!

1997 World Series

1997 World Series - Game 7

The Florida Marlins won their first World Series in 1997 in just their 5th season.  The Cleveland Indians were one strike away from winning their first World Series since 1948.  The Marlins rallied and scored one run in the bottom of the 9th.  Two innings later, the Marlins scored the winning run and brought South Florida its first World Series Championship.
