Konnichiwa (Hello). Our PhD Committee is in the world’s largest city, Tokyo as Major League Baseball prepares to open its 2012 season in the Tokyo Dome as the Oakland Athletics host the Seattle Mariners. Mr. Sports Travel aka Joe Connor teaches us what to see, The Bashful Wife that Wants it All tells us what she wants to see and Robert K. Fitts, author of Banzai Babe Ruth reminds us of America’s First Dream Team – the 1934 MLB All-Star team that toured Japan. As our podcast concludes, our PhD Committee refuses to say sayonara (good bye) because next week’s podcast will still be from Tokyo – Mariners in Tokyo.
